Carvana "Don't Play The Game"

A Metaphorical World, Brought to Life

For Carvana’s largest campaign to date, production design played a pivotal role in transforming a conceptual vision into a real-life obstacle course, symbolizing the challenges of traditional car buying.

Our team took on the ambitious task of constructing four life-sized obstacle courses—each representing the frustrations of a dealership experience. These sets weren’t just static props; they were fully operational structures, built for actors and stunt doubles to interact with dynamically.

Bringing the Vision to Reality

Life-Sized Obstacle Design
Starting with sketches and concept models, we built massive, intricate structures on location in Santiago, Chile. Every obstacle was carefully designed to be both visually striking and functional, allowing performers to run, jump, and climb through them with ease.

360° Immersion
To capture the full intensity and scale of these challenges, the set was designed with 360-degree cinematography in mind. This required strategic lighting, construction, and layout planning, ensuring every frame reinforced the campaign’s metaphor of the dealership “game.”

Location Transformation
A vast parking lot was turned into an immersive storytelling arena, using set dressing, large-scale props, and custom builds to craft an environment that felt both surreal and relatable.

A Collaborative Feat of Design & Execution

The tight production schedule and the scale of the build required speed, innovation, and technical precision. Working through the Christmas holidays, our dedicated team in Santiago delivered a high-caliber, visually compelling world that elevated the campaign beyond traditional commercial storytelling.

The result? A visually stunning, immersive production design that seamlessly blended metaphor and reality—proving once again that bold creative vision, expert craftsmanship, and innovative execution can bring any concept to life.

Production design that moves beyond the screen—it transforms ideas into reality.
